2023年9月8日、台風による荒天が心配される中、ALPS処理汚染水差止訴訟の提訴行動のために福島市市民会館に100人を超える原告や支援者が集まりました。
用意した会場に入りきれなかった方には、別室でライブ配信をご覧いただく形とさせて頂きました。
13時から開かれた提訴事前集会では、弁護団共同代表の広田次男弁護士のあいさつ、原告共同代表の鈴木茂男さんの決意表明があり、原告団事務局長の丹治杉江さんより当日の行動提起がされ、デモ行進に移りました。
やや小降りになった雨の中、市民会館から福島地裁へ向かってデモ行進を行いました。13時半ごろ弁護団と原告代表が地裁へ訴状を提出し、無事受理されました。
市民会館に戻り14時10分から、報告会・記者会見を行いました。北村賢二郎弁護士からは訴状についての解説があり、河合弘之弁護士からはこの訴訟の意義についての話がされました。
次に司会の鈴木雅貴弁護士が、漁業者のメッセージを読み上げました。短くも漁業者としての困惑と苦悩を伝えるメッセージでした。
そして４人の原告から、提訴せざるを得ないという心境に至ったそれぞれの想いを語っていただきました。
その後に記者との質疑応答、会場参加者からの質疑応答があり、最後に丹治事務局長から第二陣原告の募集の案内があり、16時頃に閉会となりました。
国と東電によるALPS処理汚染水の海洋放出は、漁業者との文書約束を破って強行された政治の暴走であり、事故を起こした企業という立場を顧みない横暴です。そして何より、世界の共有財産である海洋を汚染させる犯罪的行為です。一日も早くこの愚かな行為を止めるために、この差止訴訟の支援と、多くの方の協力を呼びかけます。

Updates on September 10, 2023: On September 8,
2023, we filed our first lawsuit with the Fukushima District Court. 151
plaintiffs joined the lawsuit.
On September 8, 2023, amidst bad weather conditions, more than 100 plaintiffs and supporters gathered at Fukushima Citizens’ Hall to join our actions.
Those who were not able to enter the venue viewed a live stream of the
event from a separate room.
At the debriefing at 1PM prior to the filing of the lawsuit, we
heard remarks from Mr. Hirota, co-chair of the legal team, followed by Mr. Suzuki
(co-chair of the plaintiffs) and Ms. Tanji (administrative chair for the
plaintiffs).
We also marched to the Fukushima District Court in the drizzle.
Around 1:30PM, the legal team and a chair of the plaintiffs filed the
complaint, and it was officially received by the District Court.
We also held a debriefing and press conference at the Citizens’ Hall from 2:10PM.
Attorney Kitamura discussed the complaint, and Attorney Kawai
explained the significance of this lawsuit.

At the end, Ms. Tanji announced that we are seeking additional plaintiffs for the second lawsuit.
The
debriefing concluded around 4PM.
The dumping of ALPS-treated contaminated water by the national government and TEPCO was a reckless political stunt forcibly engaged by dishonoring written promises with fishers.
It also disregards the fact that TEPCO is responsible for the nuclear disaster.
Furthermore, it is a criminal act to contaminate the ocean that belongs to all of us in the world.
To stop this insane action, we call for
support for the injunction lawsuit and help from as many people as possible.
We are looking for additional plaintiffs for the second lawsuit.
